It seems this is the latest con for carp tax and probably price fixing. I cannot understand how all manufactures seem to-price an electric power barrow at £1k . When a wheel etc on Ali express is £100+ £200 for a barrow and say £200 for a top of the range battery. It's a joke TBH.

Is s it really that much of a stretch price wise, and you have to include labour to fit. I'd imagine they'd be looking to make 100% mark up on cost, factor in the shops slice and it could be worse imo.

Too be fair I've not seen a power barrow that comes straight out of the factory that will out preform a barrow conversion kit.

And the solar sp tech mk2 power barrow which is a £1000 and it don't even come with batteries their extra cost to buy

TBH. This is why I bought a Carp Porter...At least it has a gearbox etc which is unique.
Not saying they are any better/worse, but it seems all the other manufacturers are just using the Chinese "L-Faster" hub motor setup (Nash, Solar etc) and charging a grand for the privilege.

I also didn't fancy getting an aliexpress power wheel barrow from Nash, Solar or Fox and got a power porter extreme, yes, their expensive but worth it.
Fellas pay nearly £1k on a trakker bivvy, £1k+ on a set of reals, £1200+ or jus three rods so the barrow isn't that bad imo.

Imo it's not that bad because we're now become accustomed to paying too much money. I'm sorry, but £1000 for a ‘rent' is bloody ridiculous! But like everything, people pay it so the prices stay the same or go up. If no one paid the silly prices they will come down. I know it's business and everyone alone the path makes money but just like a reel, £1000 wtf you can buy a second hand car for the same price!

Silly comment this. There are lots of reason why you would want a power barrow above quantity of gear. Speaking for myself I am in my 40s with severe back problems. Amount of gear has nothing to do with it.
Oh and I do take a lot of gear 😂

Over the last 10 years we have been conditioned by the media to take so much crap with us its unreal!
Cut all that out and then maybe you wont need to spend 1K on a power barrow

Unfortunately can't speak with someone that has blinkers on. Clearly I was making a joke about the amount of gear. Whether I took 2 bags or 20 reality is I still can't pick up and push a barrow. If you can't understand that I can't help you.
As for the money side I don't think its too much at all. In today's world it's the equivalent of 3 months worth of electricity bill. Sure makes my life a lot easier
