Time to respool my reels, have been using CM90 in 15lb but found it wiry and prone to twisting. After reading a few threads GT-HD appears to be well regarded. Do the 15lb and 18lb behave the same? Is there any reason to pick one over the other, other than strength/diameter

The only difference I've found so far, is the 18 sinks a little better (as it should being thicker). Can't comment on casting distance but it certainly behaved just as well as 15.

I've used both the 12lb and 15lb.

No noticeable difference between either.

I've used the 18lb and had a look feel of the 15.
Agree with the tackle box line tests - both diameters under what stated.
15 - 0.33, 18 - 0.37.
Something to bear in mind.

I felt the thickness of the 18 pound gave me a lot more confidence in weedy swims, also felt that the 18 pound coiled less in my opinion. Great line

I've only used 15lb moving from 12lb GR60.

I had to pull so hard for a break yesterday, I thought I was going to have to cut the line.

I've also pulled out of a couple of fish giving it some teddy too which I'm guessing is due to.lack of stretch.

Does sink OK if you help it down and casts well enough for me

So far I'd say as strong as 12lb GR60 just with very little stretch

All in all, I've been really impressed since I started using it
