Noticed you can get self fit line clips for them from Reel King. Has anyone fitted one and how are they?

Would you say they're a significant upgrade on the original? (which is not great obviously).

Sprung loaded so miles better than the plastic triangles. I self fit on my emblem spod and it's very simple to, albeit a bit fiddly.

I rarely fish to a clip these days so I've not done it on my current set.
But in the old days, I had the plastic clips break on the reel so it helped to avoid that happening

Is it worth it on S2600s? Suppose it depends what your using them for but I haven't bothered on mine, as range is usually under 60yds and using thinner lines (normally 10-12lbs) and lighter leads the clip isn't a big issue when wrapping up . . . .IMO
Better to spend your £ on anti reverse gears / carbon washers / QD caps . . .!

I got some of the Reel King line clips for my Ss3000's.
They are great and worth the money.
However I couldn't fit them gave up after an hour as my eyesight wasn't good enough.
I contacted Reel King and they did them for me.
Turnaround was amazing.
Top company.
I bought some of the quick drag knobs for the Ss3000 as well which I'm very pleased with.

I'm not fully decided on the line clips yet tbh. I'm interested in knowing your thoughts on the benefits of the carbon washers though. In what way do they improve them?

The drags are pretty good on these already tbf - I'm just used to a shorter QD set up (with less clicks from free spool to locked) so the carbon washers plus QD cap shorten the 'range' nicely. I prefer this when floater fishing for example when bites can be savage and using light lines etc means you need sometimes need to slacken off quickly - Washers on their own will have a similar drag shortening, but less aggressive effect than both together. . .they also make the drag smoother when playing fish as well as feeling much more solid when fully locked up

Make sure you don't get any line clips with the squared edges as these do damage your line when casting to the clip, especially with bags.
