hi all.after a few years not fishing im now back on it and for some venues i am going to having a bait boat would be a great benefit.
In the past iv had several boats, procat,microcat and lakestar but at the moment even secondhand ones are slightly out of my budget,not got the same funds with a family as i had when was single.lol
Im only looking for a small one and have seen some cheap ones on ebay.
Does anyone have a cheap boat and can recommend any.i know you get what you pay for but i wont be using it loads like i used to in france.
I would be looking to spend less than £200.
any advice will be appreciated.

Not much available at that price. Save a bit more and get a boatman vulcan. They are £375 and brilliant boats.

Lake reaper, there a bit like marmite but they must be the easiest boat to repair should you have any problems have a look out for a 2nd hand one

I got an Actor Plus with sonar and a few extra bits for £300 last year so if you don't want any extras I'm sure you will find one for around your budget. I would definitely recommend Boatman as if anything does go wrong you have a UK retailer who have very good customer service, definitely worth stretching the budget for that additional comfort imho

iv been offered a waverunner atom for £200, has 3 batteries,bag and has had a crack on hull which has been professionally fixed.
im tempted as it has sonar but not sure if to just go new and get an actor for 240 although sonar would be nice.
what do you guys think

Waverunner boats are good reliable boats. I would be worried about any hull repairs though but the Atom is a solid boat

Same about the repair. I would be nervous about that and want to check it out, and probably give it a run before buying just to ensure that it remains water tight otherwise you'll have a serious issue
