I recently bought a pair of 12' 2.25 tc custom built Armalites but I'm not sure which they are.

Any way of knowing?

I'd say a standard grey.

The mk 2s have a slight greenish tinge in the blank ..

My son has three original mk1s from Bob Morris ,I have three first version mk3s ,from Bob the Rod ,fosters build ..

They my fave all time players rods,when they are damp.after a trip ,store your rods with the rod holdall open until you use them again..

Mk2's are green.
Mk1's are grey

So based on colour of yours, I'd be pretty confident yours are mk1's.

I used to obsess over these and WKN's but got over that now (thankfully) 😂😂

They once did some like a mauve/faint purple colour but I can't now remember for the life of me what they were called

They were built by the Middlesex Angling Centre in the early to mid 90's, so I guess they must definitely be Mk1's.

Rods sound good,do you have a nice spigot gap,tween tip and butt ,if so it's a good indication of previous usage...
