Hi guys, read on the net that the phone attachment will only screw onto the deeper tripod.

Is there an attachment you can buy to simply screw it onto a storm pole?

Loads of the cheap camera stands have the same thread for the camera attachment. I've got one with the flexible legs that I just tape to a storm pole - the thread fits allsorts including my laser level for DIY.

The thread is UNC 1/4 20 which means practically any tripod will do.

Just use a bank stick.

Extender needs to be mounted at least 4 foot off the ground.

I use a storm pole with a camera adaptor for the phone mount.

I did purchase a cult tripod cheap to use, but it's very light weight and I had the tripod blow over a couple times with a gust of wind. Not ideal when your phone plonks down on the gravel or mud.

The storm pole is a firmer/safer option but not quite as convenient if you want to stand in different parts of the swim for placing different rods.

Might be an idea NOT to put the storm pole in the margin, just in case you slip whilst trying to pop the phone into the holder.
