Anyone had issues with jag bankware? Not sure if im unlucky but it seems everyting I get from them in Prolite doesnt last!! Either I've been unlucky or their gear is more hype than substance!

Had the threaded head on one of my prolite banksticks sheer off from the carbon inner stem on an aggressive margin take - luckily the attached alarm didn't end up in the lake - they sent me a new one immediately . . . have had no other issues since or prior

Ive dealt with Jag and customer service is exceptional as has been mentioned by others and many before that
It would of probably been sorted by now if you contacted them rather than post here if im honest

Ive used jag since they first came out and never had an issue. Ive only ever used the 316 stainless range though and its bullet proof. The ali prolite/carbon stuff is never going to be as robust as the 316 though. Ive never really seen the point in using the the prolite just to save a few ounces when we take so much other gear anyway.

Yes had issues with some bank sticks where they have anodised and won't undo , not great .

Think my 316 gear was some of the first stuff they made. Absolutely certain it will outlive me - poo-tin could drop an oreshnik on it and it'd still be fine. Obviously any lighter weight material won't be as resilient but if you want light weight, thats the trade-off you have to make. That being said I dont know of anyone I know who has polite gear that has anything bad to say about it, aside from showing wear where they get pushed into hardcore

Iv got loads of jag gear , iv never had a single issue . Good solid well engineered stuff

Yes I have had issues with levers on prolite becoming very stiff and difficult to release I presume this could be anodising as Part time carper suggests.

If you experience an issue with the locking lever stiffening up this will almost certainly be due to oxidisation of the brass threaded component of the lever assembly. The likely cause is the sticks/buzzbars being packed away wet and left in that damp environment for a prolonged period of time. We use a brass thread rather than stainless as the steel is too aggressive on the carbon insert. If the carbon insert is sticky, it and the inner bore likely just need a clean and dry off.
There is still a tonne of our original grey Prolite being used to this day that is still going strong. Just avoid leaving your kit packed away wet for long periods.
If you do experience an issue with the thumb screws it's an easy fix. As the levers are designed as an assembly, we sell all the parts as spares. You can simply replace the brass component. A smear of grease will add protection. Or if you're not comfortable doing that just get in touch and we'll take care of it.
When someone puts faith in buying our products we are really grateful and with that comes a responsibility to offer great customer service, that's why we now offer 10 year's manufacturers warranty. But in all honesty, doesn't matter if it's 20 years old we'll do our best to fix something. We are able to offer this customer service because thankfully we don't get that many issues.

I have black prolite bank sticks, Stage stands and buzz bars and had no issues at all. Customer service is fantastic also. I had 1 that was scratched. Replaced without fuss and also sent me some stage stand screws and bit spares

Thanks Jim, I probably have stored them wet as you say. I do dry out the bar with alarms on but not the banksticks and rear bar. Lesson learnt 👍
