Does anyone use something other than rig boxes to store their stiff rigs? Rigs like mono combi rigs, Ronnies, Hinged Stiff, etc. Find rig boxes limit the length of the rigs that I can store while keeping them straight.

If the material is stiff enough, old PVA tubes work well.

I use long thin rig boxes, see eBay item number 286033705943. It's a NGT one, and not the best tbh, I swap the plastic bar for a metal one then it's OK. But I'm sure there are other long ones available. You can fit 9" Gemini booms in them.

The larger size Korda rig safe is what you're after.

20mm (25mm conduit if you want a lot of them) with a couple of plugs
Make them as long as you like then

Could also try some pipe lagging (rigs going up the length, through the middle), used this in the past for long catfish rigs.

For booms, I used to use the clear plastic tube that some feeder rod tips came in. Now use my Korda long rig safe.
For chods, I use Fox chod bin. Decent value for the bin + six foam discs. Can also use the discs for Ronnies.

NGT XPR PLUS Box is what i use for my booms, size: 26 x 14.5 x 4cm (closed)

Best ones for keeping rigs straight is this one: LINKY POO™ Rig Board.
This is a just an example. Can be found much cheaper and in different lengths.

Small plastic tube for me

I use the tube from a Korda longchuck PVA system for my stiff hooklinks / booms (PVA bits go inside a larger sized system). I have even started putting my other hooklinks in there as well to save on space / remove the need for my rig board.

I store the hooklinks 'naked' with no hooks / kickers / swivels on them & keep the hooks in a double sided hook box (or fly fishing) & the kickers in a little box.

If you use a tube, make sure you take any putty off before you put them in as it can melt in warm weather & stick to the insides of the tube.

use the korda large rig case too.its 34cm i think
also bought a mk 1 aliexpress version which is same but hard plastic for £8 over xmas.ideal for my longer French rigs !

Korda actually make plastic tubes to house booms in. Very similar to there funnel web tubes but thinner in diameter. I use them for my gemini booms.

Couple of bog rolls inserts taped together, use camo tape if you want Ito be carpy.
