Needing a new reel for my 6ft and 9ft rod.
I have seen them bargain ngt profiler 40 and 60 reels. They look cool

I would opt for something like an okuma reel over an NGT reel. for the 9ft, i would recommend the INC-6000.
for the 6ft, haven't done any research on what they offer 4000 wise...

As said ngt are not the company to buy reels from. If you want something cheap then okuma are worth a look

I am not after just cheap just heard some good reports of them actually that specific reel.

I use ss2600's to n my 9 and 10ft setups and i really like the feel of them. Not the smoothest but there's just something about them that I enjoy.

Wychwood Extricators are really nice sized. Smooth and decent clutch. Wide spools too so line behaves a lot better on wide arbour.

I would vouch for the Shimano Ultegras in 5500. They're the perfect size for a shorter rod in my opinion and a quality reel. I also found them to feel much more solid than the Daiwa SS2600.

Shimano 4000 OC. Bait runner reels use them without any complaint at all.

Really i bought ultegra 5500's when they first came & thought they were awful & sold them on after a couple of trips.
Use ss2600's & they're pretty solid.

Okuma 6000 inc or if you want smaller then Shimano 4000 GT-RD.
The latter are fighting drag reels and I much prefer them to Baitrunners.

Would recommend the Shimano 4000 DL. I've used them on my small setup for a number of years now and stood up to some good hit and hold situations.
I have just updated my floater reel to an SS2600 and although it only has one loss to its name it feels a nice reel, with a nice sounding clutch.

I've just got a Daiwa Ninja 4012 for my floater rod. Feels lovely and balanced, only holds 150m of line if that's an issue but comes with a spare spool as well. I've got a GS3000 on a Barbel float setup and that's lovely so the GS4000 is probably very nice as well, but it's nearly double the price of the Ninja.
