Hi all I'm going to be float fishing for carp in the margins next summer ( yes I know it's only December) and was wondering what's the best mono for this situation preferably in 12lb?

Drennan supplex is a nice, well behaved line for float fishing but only goes to 10lb. I use it in the 8lb.
If you're only close in though it probably won't make too much difference what line you pick.
I'd consider daiwa sensor clear or gr60 clear both in 10lb, the diameter is more like 0.30mm and they both break well above their breaking strain. The sensor is more like 15lb and not sure about the gr60 but it's got to be close to that. They're both nice and tough as well.
If the waters clear I just wouldn't want to be using 0.35mm line unless I had to, maybe if its cloudy it won't make any difference though. I would also feel like going up to 0.35mm would start dictating the need for a larger float as well. Both the above lines are available in 12lb as well though.
Personally I've only used the sensor in lower strains for float fishing but its cheap, cheerful and ever reliable.

A last thought, if you want a floating line then there is Korum Glide, this goes up to 12lb. I've got a spool of it in 8lb and personally don't really like it but there's limited options for higher bs floating lines.

Highly recommend reflo power 0.26 (12lb) if not a and hold situation. Lovely line.

Are you float (waggler) fishing or floater fishing as the requirements will be different.

It's float fishing not Floater fishing and there are no snags except for the reeds.

Stick with a reliable line - Synchro XT in 12 or 15 . . .if your worried about visibility use a few feet of fluro as a 'leader' on the vertical drop

I'm using a mixture of Guru Pulse (6lb) and Daiwa Sensor (10lb) for my float fishing

Is 12lb not going to cause you loads of issues with light tackle and not going onto the reel tight enough. I always have issues with that with light leads, let alone float tackle

I use anywhere between 6lb - 12llb line depending on the snags and fish size for waggler fishing and never really have an issue ... that I know of.
