I've been using the Delkim TXI s for a number of years and been very happy with them. Been looking at the TXI d's for a while and cant make my mind up whether to switch! Anyone gone from the old TXi's to the new ones? What are your thoughts, Pleased you changed or wished you'd have kept the old ones?

I preferred my txi+ over the d's and wish I didn't change tbh. The D's looks a lot nicer but it's over complicated and for me personally not as reliable. Out of 4 alarms i have 2 sticky volume knobs and 1 alarm that kept draining the battery (delkim replaced free of charge). No matter how much I play with the sensitivity settings I also get a lot more false beeps than my old TXi + alarms.
But they do look much nicer 😂

I moved from plus to the D's primarily for the better / more reliable receiver range with less interference (bank / stumps / bushes etc.). After initial setup which was easy, there's really not much to be messing with but does have extra options if you want to use them.
I have also just had one replaced under warranty as it chewed batteries.
I would say, if you are just fancying a change then don't bother.
If there is something they have that you want then go for it.

I have had a set for 3 years. 5 returns to delkim because they stopped working during rain.
The only thing I think they improved is the receiver
The most important part the bit that does the movement detection is the same on both models
In my opinion if you have a set that works stay with them and avoid the new ones

I have had a set since the first batch were sent to shop. Done a week at sandhurst, where it rained for at least 5 days straight and numerous soaking 48 hour sessions on my syndicate since then. Both waters have dirt banks and kick up a load of dirt over everything everytime it rains. Never had a single issue with them.
Also never have issues with false beeps, but then i adjust the response settings accordingly.

I prefer the new D's, I like the adjustable run tone, have mine set low as found the higher tone on the Txi+ used to make me rush, don't ask me why, also like the adjustability of the led's with separate settings for day and night. The only down side for me is the volume and sensitivity knobs, bit too flat for me.

I went from pluses to the d's after having problems with my pluses. The d's have been faultless. Not sure why people think there complicated, set them up at home how you want them then you just control them like any other delkim on the bank.

Same, had a set since the start. Really not sure how false bleeps can be an issue as the sensitivity can be turned right down, if I can fish on the Trent in all weathers, floods etc then they can be fished anywhere.

probably the most adjustable alarms on the planet
possibly just some people are too thick to adjust them or read and understand the instruction manual

Seems I must be too thick then. On my set of d's either you have false beeps constantly or lower the sensitivity so much the false beeps stop but need over an inch of line before it lights up.
How on earth did I ever manage to get a degree in engineering if I can't even work out how to use/read a manual

Might be thick but at least I have enough self worth not to feel brave behind a keyboard calling people names on a forum

Only thing I don't like about them is the knobs are too stiff.
Maybe Delkim have addressed this problem by now.

I'd prefer them to have an additional dial than have to remember what combination of buttons to press when I want to change a setting
I think if I went fishing more I'd remember what does what but like my camera I have to reach for the manual or YouTube to remind myself of what to do
