Would love to know myself. Got a feeling it's a spring loaded lead arrangement, I know that sounds daft but ive seen a few people suspect this too

if hamidi is involved it will be over hyped ***** that carp fishing should never have been without.

It's a braided hook link material with a slightly different brown hue - apparently it was carefully selected from the Dulux colour range.

It could be a type of bait ingredient which contains carefully programmed nano-robots. Upon ingestion, the nanobots attach to the host and re-program the hosts neurons to snaffle any complimentary boilie indiscriminately. The range of boilie detection is approximately 200 miles via ultra-sonic electromagnetic waves. The signal is so strong that carp that have been re-programmed have attempted to fly - much to the dismay of the Environmental Agency. The Peeps that have had a sneak peak have probably been sworn to secrecy on pain of having to sit through Ali tv show on constant loop. Pain worse than death surely.

But has already been mentioned its probably some sort of sprung loaded lead hooklenght arrangement that's triggered when a fish picks up the bait.. but who knows.. Its got us talking about it. So Ali marketing know how is doing it's thing. Could be the edge in Angling that we've all been waiting four

If it is some sort of lead clip arrangement that gives a bungee/retracting hooklink effect I don't think it's a terrible idea. Not ground breaking but the existing solutions I've seen have flaws. The Nash material can do weird stuff as it gets wet and coil up. The Renyard method with pole elastic is a bit of a faff and you can't drop the lead. Sometimes it helps if you can or the rules dictate you must.

I'm more interested in the Jason Hayward idea. Apparently this is now with Korda. He comes across as a more straightforward bloke and genuinely seems excited.

I remember seeing a spring loaded inline lead arrangement many years ago in Carpworld. Can't remember much about it other than it being slated with regards to fish safety. Anyone else remember it?

I remember this being in carpworld. Can't remember for the life of me what it was called though. I sort of remember the advert as well. Even then the idea wasn't new, pretty sure there was a spring loaded device that worked in a similar vein developed in the 60's. I'm sure someone will know what it was!
