Looking for recommendations for a lightweight waterproof jacket and trousers for a fat bloke.
What are people using as my goretex has seen better days ?

I have the trakker down poor jacket and trousers (sold separately) jacket is tiny in its bag and is always in my bag ,trousers I leave in the car , the only downside with the trousers was to fit a 38in waste the legs are long ,I got a pair to go over my normal trousers, i didn't want to cut them so I folded them up inside and duct taped them ,the downside with this is you can't use the zip at the bottom of each leg that's how long they were (I'm 5ft 10)

I also have the Trakker Downpour and have some for a few yrs now, don't get too sweaty unless you are working hard in them. Good quality and would recommend them 👍

Have a look at the Highlander Tempest jkt and trousers. Quality outdoor kit without the carp tax

I'm on UK Army MTP waterproof jacket and trousers.
Not mega expensive, you can get some decent stuff through Military1st or

Thanks one and all, I shall look upon my return from France where it is tipping down rain every day and my current military kit is not up to spec as one of my Bulldogs took a fancy to it and pretty much trashed it.

Can recommend Korda Drykore for general carping - fat blokes beware however you may need to size up by 1-2x as the jacket is a little svelte
