Can't remember who made them, but I'm sure I remember at least 3 different companies doing this kind of thing. Jrc and aqua maybe?

Tents have progressed but I think somebody with a decent bit of thinking could come up with something new and after having a lot of bivvys over the years I can find flaws with most. Can't recall seeing anything that you mention from a tackle manufacturer myself?
Another slant for lightweight overnighters are the Bivvi bags. The Dutch army ones look spot on, considering one myself

The only incentive for this type of shelter is potentially for those that want to travel light, ( maybe overnights without a barrow) and who are prepared to sacrifice comfort.

I would like to see a perfectly circular bivvy shape instead of the oval shaped. Then when the wind changes direction and it is in enough strength, rain and cold etc to make it uncomfortable that it is not a major faff having to try and turn the bivvy round along with the bed chair, move your kit and turn the groundsheet if you use one.
It would be so good to just pull the pegs out, turn the bivvy and repeg it down in just a minute or two.

The Decathalon comes in at 3.5 kg. Same weight as a few ovals out there even with storm poles.

Interesting that Braders, never knew the did anything like that, looks similar to that fox thing, saying that not been in a decathlon for a long time. I was thinking more like a barrow with a shelter built on top

That's not a bad idea, it would have some good uses. The syndicate I fish on, there are some anglers always watching for you to catch up with what may have happened over night especially just after first light in a morning, that if they see you come out of the bivvy for a call of nature or a stretch or check the rods etc etc, you can guarantee your phone will start ringing with calls of "Seen out", "Had owt", "Heard out" etc straight away.
A back door would be ideal to sneak out of and back in and keep low even if it was just a bit bigger than a "Cat Flap" to creep out of. And no longer no need to turn the phone off or ignore it ringing.

The Kampas (air inflated ribs) were an innovation at the time; they seemed to get mixed reviews and eventually failed but think this area could be revisited - cost to produce prohibitive maybe?
What about a 'water filled' inflated rib solution where constantly charged (on a power pack) warm water provides an internal radiator across the bivvy (pramhood or tempest style) for winter fishing . . . ?

I've gone from Steadefast brolly, to brolly wrapped in tarpaulin, to proper branded overwrap, to Jekh shelter to Fox Easydome, Cyprydome, Rod Hutchinson Apotheosis, Easydome mk.2, JRC Roamer Dome, Nash Outlaw Hurricane and overwrap, TFG Hard-core brolly back to umbrella with stormsides, then Hutchy Cabrio Hybrid brolly system and extension, along with a number of nights on a sleep-mat and under a propped up tarp, as well as a number of nights under the stars.
To me the brolly and stormsides is probably the best, which is one of the possible options of the Cabrio Brolly.
I suppose that in summer a basic bedchair shroud is enough.

Twin skin too lol!
Doesn't look too bad that but can't see it been that sturdy unless when pegged.
There has got to be something different, how about flat pack plastic that's the base of a barrow for example
