Got a barbel rod that I have set up with an adjustable zig float.

Want to create a 12" mark on it, like the marker rods have.

I know I could tie a piece of elastic round it etc. but I want to make a nice neat job of it.

Any suggestions?

You can buy a pen in white and make a line around it and then if you want to varnish it in


Edding 750


Loads of different ways of doing it
Whip some braid on and varnish it
Nail varnish a line on
There's a couple of other ways

Neatest permanent job would be a few turns of whipping, 12" from the front of your spool lip/ reel of choice, then rod expoxy resin over the top.

On the bank job, electrical tape or tippex.

Car pin stripe ,I'm sure some car accessories shop will still have some, when you decide to remove just warm it up and it won't leave a mark

Use some masking tape all the way round on both sides of the foot line, then with a chrome marker pen, or whip on a few turns of thread.

Once the marker is properly dry, etc, remove the tape then cover with clear nail varnish hard top coat or a decent varnish.
