I've always had a pot of these laying about but I can't say I have done that well with them. I thought I would pick up some of the new washed out pink wafter dumbells recently hoping that my luck might change.
Has anyone had better luck with these?

Always have yellow NS Pop Ups, worked well for me everywhere I've used them.
The washed out pinks would defintiely be worth a go IMO

Don't waste your money on something you didn't got any good experience with, even if other do.
Buy baits you're 1000% confident in.
Based on your message, you don't trust those NS...
My advice: keep away from them.

I've tried loads of different types of bait companies and it took me years to find one I'm happy with like others have said if you've not had any success with them bin em and find some other ones to try or what people recommend on here.

I have always had a pack of pink 15m NS in my bag for years and they have saved me many blanks as a single at showing fish.
However i have never done anything on the yellows so just confidence thing. As said if thy don't sit right with you then don't use them.

I have done ok with NS pop ups and wafters (mainly white and yellow), I agree some pop ups that others rave about I have struggled with! a couple of examples would be scent from hell pop ups couldn't get a bite from multiple venues but gave them to a mate who had two mid forties last spring on them!! I had some custom made pop ups made by proper job when they did them (crab + plum), two flavours I had a lot of success with over the years but struggled as a combo. Gave some to a mate who had a PB common over 49lb one cold winters night! luckily I have some I have complete faith in and stick to them

What´s the difference between the older NS and the new NS1 ?
If the original NS has/had so much success, then why change a successfully proven formula ?

I agree on both cases I've done really well of northern specials and I always have a mixed pot with me, I also use the wafters for my pva bags. Plus agree with you on the scent from hell found them to be very poor and find them very chemically I don't rate them at all and have them a good go for a long time

Always done pretty well on ns1, they seem to catch everywhere for me, I even use the booster to soak my plastic, always have a pot of mixed colours in my bag 👍

Have always done well on the white & yellow wafters . . the 8mm NS1 mini pop ups are also a blank saver; use these more than anything else these days when fishing single hookbaits / small solid bags . . .the black ones are also perfect for zigs on waters with plastics bans
