Can someone please tell me what this Orange main line what lots of people seem to be using?? I asked a mate who is always messaging me asking this and that if he knew what it was, his reply. “??? Secret” I can understand people keeping bait, rigs and waters secret but line, come on

Would not fancy that at all, you would have to use a shock leader because the fish would see it a mile away

I think the original intention was for fishing long range with a boat, you can see the other lines easier at night when boating about.

Don't worry.
Won't really matter at the business end, the last few rod lengths or more of the orange fluorocarbon line will be in, or on the bottom - if not too tight, and sunk properly.
Also line colour won't matter if your water only does night time bites

I have used Fluro Green and Orange line frequently - Spider Braid on a commercial catfish water I visit and it doesn't stop the carp or cats from biting I can assure you. I think if anything, it may even make them more curious.

I was watching a recent baitworks vid. And Mike holly pulled in a trailer that was towing around a load of orange line/braid. My first thought was its Marker braid. .. But Orange line.. what's that all about? 
I know Wychwood done a purple line. Apparently hard to see under water.

I used to use berkley photochromic line which was a orange/peach and purple in certain lights. I don't know the science behind it but it certainly didn't put them off and seemed very hard to detect underwater

Only time I have seen it used was on a few Tom Maker videos.
From memory he mainly used it as it was easier to see at night.
Certainly didn't stop him from catching.

Maybe carp can see it but avoid it so it doesn't spook them?

Yep same videos I've seen of him using it he was out in Romania I think advocated it was better for seeing lines at night with the head torch and again he advocated using it on one at Linear from memory for the same reasoning having three rods tight on a spot or close together its easier at night to watch the lines tramming out and playing fish in between the lines, pretty sure that was the reasoning.

I use Red line and red braid for all my pike fishing caught more this year than before , Id worry about them feeling the line more than the colour.
I agree colour is irrelevant
