Can't choose which rod to get in my budget. People please vote first, second and third best choice for a 12ft 3lb tc rod...

Tx2 would be my 1st choice, I have the 10ft versions and love them for the price. My mate had the Vader x and had issues with the rings cracking...which I have read on here too. My dad had the EOS and it was a bit crap, felt heavy and didnt cast well at all.

Simple, TX2.
No other choice.

It would have to be the TX2 for me,I would stay well clear of Sonik rods
My son has the Sonik rods and they are good for the money BUT a friend has the Shimano TX2 and I would go for the Shimano's .

Shimano is probably the choice out of the 3 mentioned but it is getting on for twice the price of the Vader X. Maybe look at the Dominator X RS rods from Sonik if you want a fair comparison. As for ceramics falling out i've had that on several rods over the years including a Free Spirit marker rod but wouldn't stop me buying another Free Spirit rod. Not sure on the Fox rod.

Sounds like most here haven't used the fox rod in question but it is extremely good value for money with a very nice playing action.

Imo the Tx2 is the worst of the 3
I used the Vader X 3.00Lb and the Tx 2.75 side by side for a weekend and caught fish on both.
I found the Vader X more accuraat when casting plus better fish play feeling, Tx-2 is just a stiff blank even in 2.75Lb
Purely for fish playing and not for casting,get the Eos

I know you've not listed them but my son has the Tackle Box Darent valley carp rods - well impressed with them and look like custom builds - well worth a look at !

The Sonik Vader would be a decent rod if they used decent rod guides.
I treat my rods the same, Century, Rod Hutchinson, Sonik or whatever.
The only guides that have popped out or broken have been the Sonik rods.
