Ringers do a 10 mm.
Xcel do a fluoro barrel one.
ABS do a 12 mm Choc/nut/orange.
Sonubaits do one.

The ABS looks the one to me.

Would I be correct in saying it's the old Perfection CO2 recipe?

If so, I highly recommend it too.

smells identical as used to use PGB CO2 direct from his house before ABS began rolling for them. Now go direct to ABS for CO2

ABS always rolled for them mate. But it used to only be available from Alan, PGB. Alan was different to all of the other resellers that buy from ABS or other rollers and re bag. He was the single son of a multi millionaire, he was never doing it for money. More like a hobby in something he loved. I know that personally. The upside was, he wanted the best bait for his customers. He paid for extras to be put into the baits from Geoff. When he got married and his son was born, and then he started the lakes... He stopped the bait, because it became a hassle with a family. Geoff then sold the chocolate orange, previously it was only sold through PGB.

CO2 is a different bait to CO. It was white, it had Geoffs cream enhancer added. I never liked C02 anywhere near as much as the original brown CO.

There's a whole world of difference between the bait Al would buy from Geoff, and the bait the re sellers would buy. They are doing it for a job, for money. Two people then need to make money from the bait, so they have to buy a cheaper grade of bait in the first place. That was never the case with Al, he did not need to make money so purchased grade A, and then added expensive extras to it too. A re seller would NEVER do that. Always buy direct. Re sellers are rife in carp bait. It's never really a good thing for the customer, when two people need to make money from the same bait, trust me.

Used to buy direct from Alan and preferred the CO2 to the original CO tbh, had my 1st uk 40+ common on it, so slightly biased towards it tbh. The CO i now have had from ABS is as good as the bait i got direct from Alan back in the day imo, i know i'm no bait expert, but if it catches me fish on a regular basis....cough cough occasionally in my case...its good enough for me

Ordered from ABS. Will be my last order.
Sent me an item that I didn't ask for. Saying what I wanted wasn't in stock so sent me the closest thing which meant bigger size.

I would have refused the order if i had been asked.

The other item that I received wasn't correctly sized either, 12mm order, was 8 or 10mm.

Bait smells ok, more orange than chocolate i would say though.

Are you sure?
