Sorry can't do links, anyone seen these double barbed hooks before?

Looked at them with interest, I can see them being banned on a lot of fisheries.

It would be interesting to know if he lets people us them on his own fish?

They are used at Graviers.
I have seen these in the flesh and they are decent. The normal micro barb and then the micro 'nano' barb are well formed. The micro barb would follow the name of barb so there wouldn't be any extra damage to the fishes mouth, and the reverse pressure to release the barb would then release both in the same movement.
If they are getting banned then it's probably down to fear of something new and a lack of understanding.

Didn't get a very warm reception on the fishery management group did they Dave?

I will give them a go and I am happy to give totally unbiased feedback as and when I can get out and catch a few.

Why would you need two barbs on a carp hook though? It's hard enough to get a single barbed hook out with a decent hook hold. I would have thought that double barbed would make it harder for the fish to shed the hook if the line gives?

Just seems strange a guy who is notoriously protective over his stock would come up with this.

I may well be missing something though?

Have just read the sales pitch/write up for them, so much I disagree with in it and a few assumptions made probably made from experience of the anglers fishing his venue.

Just bought a packet of hooks so I'm out

Completely agree I don't think they've thought hard enough with regards to the line breaking, it's a no from me.what's next treble hooks for carp fishing you could apply the same argument as the double barbed ??

The information on his website is somewhat contradictory.

He has banned all curve shank hooks on his own lake because they ‘greatly increase the failure to eject in the case of cut off or crack off'

Then he's trying to flog ‘the ultimate anti-eject hook' to make a few quid on the side.

The part about hanging lead weights from a dead carps mouth is just plain weird.

Considerable applied pressure to penetrator beyond the barb ahhh so rather than use barbless to lessen the pressure required we will put two barbs on ?

Looks like a solution to a problem that doesn't exist.

One micro barb is surely enough to keep a hook in place and i think having 2 barbs would actually hinder hook ups if anything
