Hi, my Wychwood Solace,having served me well for some years, is approaching retirement and I'm hoping you guys can suggest a replacement.
I'm looking for :
60 inch minimum oval type or similar.
Minimal sized centre boss.
Rapid set up.
Rod holding bands.
Stability.
Waterproof.
Solid build.
I have a Titan if I need a groundsheet and full enclosure from the elements so just an open front brolly with maximum coverage/footprint and cover.
What's the options?

Have you considered a tempest brolly or does it have to be a traditional brolly type.
The tempest ticks all those boxes

Not cheap, can be bought as just a brolly, Rod Hutchinson Cabrio Brolly, but can be updated to complete system separately.
Mine has been through a couple of the big storms this year, while set up as a full system, so I know it is strong.

Open to all options that fit the criteria, doesn't have to be traditional but they are fast to put up.
So I search for Trakier Tempest Brolly or is there another term as I see variations on a quick gander at ebay...

Another vote for the tempest brolly. Very stable, small pack down and light if you ditch some pegs and the groundsheet. Super quick to go up and down, plus gives you options later if you want extras.
If you're tall then the 100T isn't much bigger pack down and makes a big difference.

193 quid ,gets you a Cyprinus Typhoon storm ,10 000 hh..
It now comes with a fully removable zip off front and zip in groundsheet ,which you can ditch if needed..
In fact have a look at Cyprinus products I'm waiting for the new version of Hideout out or low pro ,according to ESP ,two days ago ,they coming out in Sept, lo pro firstly I believe..

I'm 5'8 and appreciate the extra head space, so I would say yes. Just means that you can sit upright on your bedchair and save your lower back

Yes it's a tempest copy. I have both and while the cyprinus is decent I'd say the build quality isn't quite as decent as the trakker

I'd take a look at the Sonic SK-TEC 60” Brolly, I got one this spring for the same reasons as you to use over the summer, as I only do over-nighters – I'm now tempted to get the front for it and use it all year round.
