Hi Chaps,
What's the main difference between the two? remember reading a thread on here a while back that the loaded wasn't as good but cant seem to find it on the search page.

Tacklebox line tests
Esp Syncro XT .............15lb will break at 21lb .75
Esp Syncro XT Loaded 15lb will break at 18lb.34
I found the loaded to be horrible springy coily and no where near as good a line as the normal I will never use the loaded ever again

Agree with all of this,the Syncro xt seems to get better and better once been on the spools for a couple of trips too.When I tried the loaded it got worse,I tried the Thinking Anglers OGX recently,im back on the Syncro xt

Agree it get better with use and is definitely better after a good soaking so I always stick the new spool in a bucket of water for 24 hours before spooling up. Must say though I personal also like the latest nash bullet mono in 0.40 20lb find it as good as the 18lb xt.

I rate the loaded version, it just needs a splash of water on the spool before use and it behaves excellently and sinks very very well.

I have used the loaded version now for nearly 4 years and only recently have I experienced problems and I'm pretty sure it's only because I haven't been able to make trial casts to wet the line before fishing because no space on the lake and I don't like doing it in my own swim or in anybody else's. I didn't think it was as good as the standard stuff and it certainly isn't as good a casting line but after using it for such a long time I can honestly say I would buy it again if I wanted a really tough line that sinks extremely well.

The original Synchro is the nuts mate. The loaded version was wiry, didn't react well to being in sunlight too long and quite simply I took it off after a couple of nights. The original synchro is one of the best monos I've ever used.

About the same as the 18lb xt but is slightly thicker but a little suppler. Only bought it to use on a very weedy water but I'm surprised at how well it casts and behaves for such a heavy line.

I was determined to like the 15lb so bought another bulk spool after originally spooling up with it thinking I'd bought a duff batch - quickly removed that as well and went back to the standard Synchro - have it on all specimen rods / set ups in a variety of breaking strains . . . really good, user friendly, reliable line

Used both loaded not as good wiry and not as strong. Better line than both gardner gr 60. 15lb .40

I only use the XT, I find the loaded not as good.
18lb breaking strain where weedy.
15lb breaking strain where not so weedy
12lb breaking strain I haven't found to be as reliable

The 12lb is just as good IMO - use it on my barbel rods / rivers where takes are violent and snags are plentiful!
