HI looking at getting a new pod and was hoping you could help with a few questions.
Anyone got the P1 sod pod? How stable is it - like the look of them but worried they would be a little prone to falling with 3 rods.
Also any thoughts on Summit colosseum Vs Solar worldwide

I use the solar p1 sod pod. It's rock solid mate, no worries about it tipping over .... The lower you splay the legs the wider the foot print becomes. I have absolutely no worries regarding stability. The drop in buzz bar mounts are really good too, eliminating any potential twist.

Just get some anchor feet, problem solved
Screwed down on platforms, and bivvy pegs elsewhere, when neeeded.

I'd say the WW all day long having owned one for 17 years I see no reason to change.

I love the Solar WW pod apart from the taperlock system they use for adjustability for the buzzbars and legs, if I was thinking of getting one now I'd wait till there new captive system was in the shops as it isnt far away.

The captive now renamed pro-loc system is much better than the locking collars. I bought some pro-loc buzz bars a couple of weeks to go on my universal pod as that has thumbscrews as well and its a much better design than the collars as always had issues with the locking collars getting stuck and having to unloosen them with pliers which can damage the knurling.

The p1 sod pod is fine, not as stable as the world wide design as the bars are supported in two place rather than just the centre. Never owned a summit pod so cant comment but from the photos ive seen there isnt any adjustment on the legs for uneven banks so pretty useless unless your on a perfectly level platform which rarely happens. I would also look at the jag 316 mk2 pod if your looking at the worldwide price bracket as that is a brilliant bit of kit or save up a bit longer and get a solar universal as that is the best pod ive owned to date which i never thought i would say being a jag fan.

I've got the 316 mk2 jag pod which I love for its build quality and the fact it can be used as snag bar settup and it also has enough weight to it to support three 13ft rods in strong winds. The new solar universal has all of these attributes but the leg system makes it better on uneven ground and I will probably buy the euro version with two extra short legs as this will add further versatility to fish tips down in water or beachcaster style.

The P1 is very stable, although a gale force wind can blow it over...
If you peg it down in a gale then you only have to worry about your rods blowing off.
The P1 legs adjustments make it stable, with a decent height adjustment.
