Thread: Deeper quest

Hi any user reviews of the deeper quest? Got the actor plus gps & sonar which to be honest is great but was wanting a better boat that maps and most importantly drives straight to point not swerving around trying to figure out which way to go. How’s the deeper for navigation etc?
Thanks
Thanks

Hi anyone got any experience with the century Ti net? Looking to get a decent 'long' reach net and was thinking of either the new 10ft spring bow, the Chris brown net or the century. Any recommendations on these or others like the fox x6, gratefully received!

In reply to myself took the leap and bought a set of sub x jag bars and they do not fit! about 0.5mm to wide. Filed down some flats and they now fit in. Wanted a proper set of 2 rod bars on the worldwide. Look good and sort of worth it in the end but a bit of a ball ache!

Hi, thinking this might be a no but does anyone know if the sub x jag buzz bars will fit in the retaining slots on a solar worldwide pod? They look thinner than standard jag stuff but cannot find diameters anywhere - are they similar to the solar captives?
Thanks!
Thanks!

For warmth mittens are by far the best. Personally I have a cheapish set of ski gloves for grubbing around with bank sticks and pegs and a pair of Hestra pull over mittens. These allow you to expose finger tips to work on rigs etc but with the pull over mitten you get warmth but lack dexterity.
Of all the brands out there Hestra are as far as I'm concerned superior.

original metal cobra throwing slick from late 80's, silstar gxb bait feeder reels and Shimano triton bait runners & optonic super Xl's when in the mood. Still use my Daiwa graphite coil carp rods for pike fishing and mk2 armalites.

Hi, depends on the size you want but have both tempest brolly advanced (low) and the tempest 100 advanced, which have a very similar footprint. Both aquatex and zero condensation when used with a wrap. Prefer the brolly for short stays as got the nylon wrap which is considerably lighter than the aquatex one and dries more quickly. If you don't want condensation then aquatexx is really good but you must use a wrap as well as the bivvy material won't breath if wet on the outside. For me a second hand trakker tempest advanced with full cap wrap would be my recommendation.
