Recently decided to move on from Course fishing and try out Carp fishing. I have invested in a 3 Rod Pod, never used one before, not a fat lot of info for what I'm after online.
So my only question is ,how does the Pod not fly off when you get a run? Even with drag set right I assumed the pod would still move about etc.
Do you guys peg them down or am I just overthinking it?

If it's got a low centre of gravity then it should be fine; as you say, make sure the clutches are set right, that's going to be the most important thing. You can peg it down if you want, and the ground allows.

Depends how your reel clutches are set I reckon. I frequently fished locked up with some jag lockdowns but my pod has a pin at the rear so I know it's going nowhere. Folks use all sorts bungee chord, bivvy pegs etc.

Set the drag on the reel or baitrunner so there is some drag but slightly less than would move the pod. Easy to test yourself before fishing. Obviously if fishing to snags then need to be locked up and pod very well secured. Probably be best to use single sticks when fishing locked up to snags.

You can buy various brand specific pod anchors and feet.
Alternatively, as mentioned below a bivvy peg on the centre bar will do the job.

It's a Leeds Rogue, nothing special, I wanted to see if I'd prefer a goal post/ bank stick setup or a pod and you can detach them from the pod. I think I'd probably prefer Bank sticks on soft pegs but I'm super wary of putting my pod on a wooden deck for example, I know they're all tried a tested but I still don't trust it haha

I've used a pod for 35 years and always peg it down not that it needs it all the time just habit having fished in High winds that have on occasion picked up during the night.

IT pays to put a some large screw cup hooks in your bag then if your on a wood platform screw a couple in and a bit of cord and your safe

I would question first - do you actually need to use a rod pod
I've been Carp fishing for over 30 years and don't ever see the need to use one
If there are platforms I use long banksticks in the water. If it's concrete I fish somewhere else 😂

Couple of 6ins loops of shock cord, couple of good tent pegs and a couple of large cup hooks and you can secure your pod anywhere. I have been using a Leeda Rogue when necessary for years and for the price it's reliable and effective. Whatever anyone may say there are times when a pod is indispensable

I am a recent convert!
Having been a completely determined single stick user, I was fishing a lake where I just couldn't get six sticks into the ground with any degree of uniformity (OCD) nor was I ever really happy with how well they were in - ground was very stony, and the sticks were Defiant MPS with auger points too. It was taking ages, was unsatisfactory, put me off moving and was an all round massive pain in the backside.
Got a pod.....
Now I just leave it set up, it fits snugly over my barrow bag and I just drop it down into the swim. Don't think I'll ever revert - it's just removed a fairly significant ball ache from my angling, which has gotta be a good thing.
Horses for courses.

If you need to anchor to a timber platform try the ‘fishbone' type tent peg anchors. No need to screw into and possibly damage the board if there is a gap between each timber.
