Just managed to get on the canal for a night as my other half is looking after her elderly mom,so fingers crossed for a carp or 2.
So glad I'm out I work 50 plus hours a week so really needed this especially as the wether is slowly warming up.

I agree,just get out there....
I've just come in,done the night,no other souls,no light pollution,no TV,no social media,no car noise,all you can hear was woodpeckers,40 trillion geese,and the sound of the wind...
Caught three lost 1,hey,just loved it...

Not another person fishing this stretch saw 2 guys further up on way to my spot but that was it,the only people walking up and down now are families or families on bikes or dog walkers it's great apart from the motorway noise.
Not bothered if I catch or not just glad to be out

Packing up in an hour and blanked but glad I was out for night and it's snowing now got a long walk back to my brothers car by 11,load of people out jogging and walking dogs or cycling but no fishermen

Mate just getting out is worth it whether a blank or not. I reopen my pub tomorrow (again!) so may be a little while before I get the chance!

I believe some are,I know the one in pelsall West Midlands had signs up but I later heard that was the boat owners to deter anglers
