Years ago I got given some surf boots made from neoprene, they did the job and kept my feet dry,and I used to wipe em off before getting into my sleeping bag...
Anyone used or thought about using over shoes, that's used by cyclists..

They have holes in the bottom for the cleats to clip in the pedals, and on the heel.

Sounds like a terrible idea, clammy compressed feet is not ideal

Military goretex boot liners are a good option for sleeping in if you need to be straight on your rods and it's wet. I wear them over a thin pair of socks, not too clammy and you can play a fish without getting your feet wet 👍🏻

Silly question, but what is the issue with taking your shoes off to sleep and slipping them on if you need to get out of bed?

Flip flops well similar with the over foot thingy
"Surf boots " are not hard to get hold off, every year Aldi's and Lidl sell them in the summer beach wear specials. They sell two types, the boots for diving and snorkelling etc and also a shoe type for swimming and paddling etc both of which I advocated many years ago. The shoes for summer, spring and autumn and the boots for Winter. After a few years use, my shoe type dropped to bits but my "Surf boots" are still good after about 15 years or mores use apart from the zips have broke. I even use them for standing about in the snow.
Aldi's and Lidl's never had them on sale last year, probably knew with lockdown, many people would not be heading to the beach, this year could be same.
But, look at outdoor shops that sell, surfboarding, diving equipment etc and there is loads of them on sale. Just look for neoprene shoes or boots etc.
But, I have found that neoprene is not ideal to wear all day and even sleep in. They eventually get that hot and moisture cannot escape you end up with manky feet. My feet used to overheat on a night sleeping in them and had to take them off.
Likewise. I have also neoprene boot liners and gortex socks and sealskin socks, but would not use them to stand outside as they have the same problem as the "surf boots ", you have to clean the soles to get back into your sleeping bag especially if its a bit muddy.
Past few years though, as others mention I have been using crocs or garden clogs which are better than crocs as they have tread on them to stop yourself sliding into pond on a wet night etc, plus they have a stronger soles to stop stones and thorns going through.
