I'm now looking for new rods. I use to have a set of Bruce Ashby mirrage rods years ago and loved them. Wish I'd never sold them now. I was wondering if you can still get the Ashby rods new ?

Try giving Harrison rods a call, they made the blanks. At least they could point you towards a modern equivalent.

If they've still got the mandrels they could still make you a new set. Worth a try.

They wont , I am in the harrison factory every other month , the only person they would make them for would be Bruce and as he has passed away then its a no.

I was going to recommend the tackle box direct Jeff. Bruce used to build for them?
Or maybe the tackle box are still building similar rods?

They could very well have some blanks left over ? Pretty sure a model of bruces was a ballista blank ground as opposed to the normal unground ballista blank

I know they used to sell a fair old selection of Harrison customs that Bruce used to build for them
Edit - Ross, why don't you give them a bell, they might be able to sort you out or supply something very similar, or better still tell you the exact blank they were built on. If you know, pending your budget somebody may be able to sort you out with some?

Bruce built custom rods on most of Harrison blank range but Harrison also made blanks exclusively for Bruce ie extacy, mirage, perimeter etc.

Interesting Glen, I remember those in the catalogue. I wrongly assumed they were just rod names
It will be interesting to see what Jeff has to say then if he speaks direct to Harrison's
I've had some TE's and Treb lites. Still have one Treb light as a distance rod for a four rod set up
