Sorry to jump in, but are the DNA S7 and SLK tough enough to use on the hair or do you need the hardened hookbaits?

If you think so highly of the tiger nut why change? Used CC Moore for years but a few years ago noticed a dip in quality, they wholeheartedly told me nothing had changed but my catch rate dropped and I lost confidence in it so started using Custom baits. Used a bit of DNA, namely the SLK and a bit of S7 and they are decent baits that I would happily use if I couldn't get hold of my 1st choice bait for whatever reason

I switched to DNA this year and I've been very happy with the quality of their mail order and the quality of all of the products I've received this year.

I bought the nutta for spring use, but to be fair we then went into lockdown so it never really got used as I intended and I ended up mixing most of it into my spod mixes. So I can't give it a stand alone review.

I've mainly used SLK and S7 in a ratio of about 4:1. In mixed sizes. I've bought a few different liquids/spod syrups and various hookbaits in the same three flavours.

I've not had a duff product yet. I dont really see any reason to change. The quality is good and the prices are very competitive.

Having said that the only spanner in that works might be krill active which on first sight appears to be very good. However I think Sticky are a one trick pony. Krill is a great bait, but the rest their range and pop ups etc aren't much to write home about with the exception of the Calanus oil where as I think the DNA range is stronger on the whole, better liquids, definitely better pop ups like the evo kits etc.

I've used CC Moores for hookbait ingredients and the quality has always been good. Can't comment on the boilies

Are you going for bulk deals ? If so probably best to use dna but there are many others, I'm currently looking at essential baits and bait works.

I'm torn between the two atm

Might have to order all 3 baits lol

Atlantic heat Baitworks
Creamino Baitworks
Shellfish b5 essential baits

Was planning on a total of 100 kg but now might up it to 150 kg (I just won't tell the misses lol)

Never used CC Moore rolled baits, have used thier base recipe for my home made, very happy with it too.

I have used DNA S7 since it came out, cracking bait imo, it's worked everywhere I've taken it and over winter. I did try Nutta S along side it when it came out but for me S7 far outfished it on the waters I was on. I expected S7 to drop off in winter but it didn't so I use it all year round.

Re softness of the freezer bait, I would say they are on the softer side on a ready made, I think the Krill content makes them slightly spongy, but I'm confident using them as they are and haven't had any issues with them coming off, but I haven't used them at long range.

Why change if you've got confidence in it. I've been using tigernut for 15 years. I have added a fishmeal bait in with it 50/50 the last couple of seasons.

I use both baits in shelf-life, the S7 is slightly tougher than SLK I've found, both very soft.

I only fish short sessions so they are fine but if left out for extended periods then probably better to get harder hook baits.
Are you sure?
