I watch him alot,really good angler and catches a fair few along the way

I still can't get past what activates it, I watched the video and it's the hooklentgh being straightened under pressure releases the and activates the mechanism like a mouse trap....surely for the fish to put enough pressure on the device the fish is hooked, the device then drives the hook home causing them to bolt as it scares the **** out of them and therefore a one toner....but surely the fish was hooked before the device is activated.

At the end of the day, we're talking about a brand with zero notable items of tackle, being funded by shady affiliates, fronted by an over excitable chap with a mohawk who waxes lyrical yet produces absolutely nothing of substance, apart from one dangerous item which gave an unwarranted level of confidence to a level of angler that this industry has produced and encouraged.

whatever peoples opinions .... there is definately seems to be a mellowing of hate towards this, and even the start of a swing in favour of Ali/wand since the latest film (ive not seen it)

you're right, there's a big following...im not sure if most of these are fan boys that always were on board and the type of angler hamidi is targeting, on todber manors fb page there's alot of love for it...

If catching a fish means that much to you that you need to even think about using a contraption like this then go ahead .
But seriously you need to think whether fishing is actually for you..

there's plenty out there unfortunately, I. not sure what's going through their heads to even consider it

I still don't buy into his notion that the twig is a safe rig and if ali really thought it was a safe rig why spend a considerable amount of money developing a "mk2" version?

I'm also of the opinion that the newer wand version along with the original twig is an unneeded item of tackle.

Loosely speaking, there are two types of angler. Those who watch Passion for Angling/Whitehouse and Mortimer, and those who buy the magic twig.

Ali can do what he wants, I didn't really mind him until he went completely over the top with that ‘haircut' and increasingly frantic social media swamping. I just unfollowed him and OMC though rather than care about it, I'm just not the demographic he's after but plenty are.
