Jesus, if they have been using this to catch more carp they must be bloody bonkers.....
Never mind the impacts it has on the fish, and the ethics of using it, its nasty stuff, and even if this was perfectly safe to use in a fishing scenario and have no health impacts on the fish, how on earth would you be able to handle this safely on the bank???
Chemical resistant gloves, eye protection, be carful not to breath in any mist, donot have any skin contact etc. surely you would look like Walter white doing his blue ice stuff when spodding this out......
I dont know about anyone else, but i dont like spod spill and try to minimise it as much as possible to prevent attracting the rats etc, but its inevitable even the most vigilant and cleanest of anglers would get some on there skin.....

The more I think about it the more I just cannot see this being the drug there using

So this drug causes the fish to pump out the same hormone they do when spawning-if injected. I'm pretty sure it wouldn't have the same reaction just added to a spod mix. Even if it's eaten by them doesn't mean it would have the same reaction to the fish and would take much longer.

Just listened to the podcast. Have no judgement whether Maker was/is involved or not but he did talk some shìte at times, like covering his ass with his bait sponsor by saying he'd catch exactly the same amount of fish without the worms - then seemed to realise he was contradicting himself totally cos he'd just spent the last half an hour ranting that worms were so amazing people thought he was using hormones, so he fumbled on to say that small amounts were just an edge in certain weather conditions
Also, he said he was testing out all this in his garage. how does that work?

Don't forget the last 10 years when all the Korda boys (and Tom) told us and showed us what bait they were using, but kept the worms and maggots hidden away.All those years, it's hard to trust anybody.

Anglers have been keeping bait edges under there hats since man first baited a hook. Nothing underhanded or wrong in that..

Think about it. If injected it causes them to pump the hormone out into the water, why wouldn't it work if just put into the water?
If you have a google there are loads of studies talking about methods of use in non-angling situations to attract fish into an area.

For what it was intended for, it needs injecting into females to help with controlling/promoting ovulation. Doesn't take much of any hormone to attract a male 😂
If it had to be injected into the fish to get it to work, you'd need to catch a fish first, inject it, and hope it stayed in the area.

Well yer that's my point... Obviously it works but will it work just held up in the swim/soil/worms. If I seen someone injecting a fish I wouldn't let it slide.. There's fish care then there's giving them something IV when yout not a vet.

Mate, you are taking about pituitary (GtH) from the endocrine gland, used since the late 80s to induce spawning in cyprinids by injection. Nowt to do with the stuff we are on about here.
