Could be totally wrong, but wasn't a certain person who had his own show on tv and unfortunately passed away, who was also quite close to Martin reported to doing such Tom foolery as claiming other peoples fish and re hooking? Like I say I could be totally wrong, but sure I have heard it in the past

His uncle perhaps it was a family thing...

I remember going on a ‘tailor made holiday' back in 1999 (to the cats on the red place in Lockport Canada, had a great time).
Came back and went to the go fishing show at the NEC saw his uncle who wouldn't even engage with us, his wife Christine came over a little embarrassed.
We were dumbfounded by his attitude....

I learnt later that in person this was normal with joe public he wasn't very pleasant.

I also heard they had a caller on I think maybe fisherman's blues and the caller mentioned mr Wilson was a complete 🔔 end towards people but before he had time to carry on they cut him off from talking more about it

Could be totally wrong again and my memory is deteriorating by the minute, but I'm sure someone said, poss on here once that ole rex wasn't the nicest of people either. Just something that stands out as I was shocked when I read it so has lodged a little in the grey matter.

I tend to form my own opinion of someone once I've met them not by what someone once said or told me, we can all have our off days especially the older we get we dont suffer fools as easily.
