The funny thing is you tell me that over 30years experience of using a product from a manufacturer without the apparent issues you mention I'm wrong. Then you turn it personal, I didn't, yet I point that out you get insulting, and I become the one in the wrong.

As for why I use past experience, references to Nazeing, to Earith or Taverham, maybe its because due to publicity with occasional exceptions I can't reference or name my current water, maybe because its relevant.
Now my experience with Delkim, ST's with Att dongles and with the TXI D's is that they are still working despite my ST's being submerged, my TXI's being out in some pretty severe storms this year, no water ingress, no leaks, no faults.
I'm chilled, I'm cool, I have more important things to worry about, like whether I'll get a hip replacement this year, whether I'll be able to carry on fishing, can get rid of my crutches.

Okay, I'm going to end this now Nick. It's only 07:40 in Brazil and I'm on holiday. I do not get much time off. I'm off to enjoy my day. I made a big mistake. One which I will never make again. Not ever. You're not listening to a single word that anybody says to you, apart from what you want to hear. And now I am also intimidating you as well? I've heard the lakes names so many times from you it's burned into my brain now Nick. You do not need to repeat them again honestly. They are clearly like a badge of honor for you. As was working in some tackle shop.
I hope that you get your hip operation. Not sure what that has to do with what we are speaking about. Maybe they could operate on some Delkim's at the same time and make them waterproof (joke). I saw you caught your first ever 30lb common the other day, congratulations Nick.

and we retrieved them took the battery's out used a towel to dry them battery's back and all 4 perfect back fishing an hour later perfection
IMHO Delkin are the most adjustable perfect alarms made but in truth these days all alarms are very good and will do the job needed

Trying to decide between Delkims and Nash R3s. I feel like the R3s would be simpler (just turn them on rather than messing about with the settings) and produce less false bleeps? But then Delkim seem to have better after sale support?

You don't get false bleeps if set up correct to suit the conditions. I fished 15-17mph winds / rain weekend and didn't have one. But I used heavy bobbins and tight lines at distance.
Won't go wrong with either. Both go beep when there's a fish on. R3s are simpler but as mentioned Nash after sales is as good as tits on a fish.
A good friend has had R3s for years without issue until late 1 took on water. Dried out and works fine again now.

I think ND are bringing out some new ones that could be worth the wait.
They have bite prediction tech, so will boil their new kettle 5 mins before a take is due, and will run a lovely hot bath as soon as their landing net has a fish in it. So literally a hot cup of tea and bath after a catch, it can also be paired to JustEat in some areas so a takeaway can be automatically ordered once the run develops.
Waterproof wise, they use met office tech, in hot temperatures they mist themselves and the rollers with chilled water, and the additional bivvy torch has this function. In lower temperatures the bivvy lite becomes a powerful and safe log burner. In the rain they really come into their own - they send you a text straight away that can set from ‘I'm a bit damp' to ‘Christ its stair rods out here' on the app you simply open Then select the degree of waterproofness you need.
Other handy features are ‘having a dump' they will mute themselves and grip the rod tighter until you press dump done on the app. Yes, it's open for misuse and I know in field testing some of the guys went down the local Toby - but to be fair most of the takes were still landed.
Recasting is easy with the laser beam spotter leds that via satalite will show you the exact spot you caught from. It has some other useful features that I'm surprised nobody else has done - via the app you can stop all functions (including bath) by pushing the its a bream button for 10 secs - the alarm will then vibrate until the bream is off, this can also be used for single figure tench.
The basic 3 rod set should retail for £299.99 and the extras like the kettle, bath and mister light range from only £29.99.

I can't mate or I will lose my sponsorship - currently have their new bivvy on test, fully prefab, en suite and moved via drone on your phone app to any UK or European lake, if swim is taken it buckets it and sends you alert when free.
As soon as I'm allowed to I will share the new alarms, but think the MkII may be shortly behind, so maybe I could wait and share link for these?

I've seen these but you forgot to mention there best feature, they are powered by fermented cheese with five grams powering an alarm for a minimum of ten years constant use. Believe the drone uses the same technology with ten grams giving a thousand miles of range.
