Angling Trust have now confirmed it does include Angling from Wednesday, as per the Environment Secretary advises.

All very difficult to keep all parties happy half the country think we should carry on in total lockdown and for it to more extreme in some cases. The other half want it relaxed or removed. The government are in a no win situation and will get criticism whatever way they turn.
I am a keyworker and luckily have a week off from Tuesday and for once my timing could not have been better. Also fishing a very low stocked lightly fished syndicate water means the banks will be quiet.
I do feel for key-workers as in my experience anxiety levels Are extremely high.
Can't wait to get on the bank. Tight lines everyone.

I certainly do agree about anxiety levels being high, I work for the NHS, won't say what job I do but last week my boss told me I need some time off. Not had any time off since Christmas.
We've had so many colleagues off unwell I couldn't really take any time off, but many are back to work now so I will be booking a week off work very shortly.
Glad the fishing is back again, some sort of normality in our lives.

We are in a global pandemic with a deadly virus and people are steaming from their homes during a countrywide lockdown to...go fishing.
Thank you for contributing to the improvement of our gene pool by removing yourselves from it. Make sure you all clange your lakeside pans on Thursday evening to show your hypocrisy.
I didn't think it was possible to think less of the current angling scene, but life is full of surprises.

Slight easing of restrictions but don't drop the ball and keep to SD
Fishing is not a problem and never was!
Stay home if you choose, although I suspect many will never leave their houses again because of the “fear” of catching CV19 and will become paranoid manic depressants which is terrible!

Bear in mind the chap could be high risk (70yo for e.g.), in which case being strong, brave and a man wouldn't help him.
