I'd be more inclined to listen to your point of view if you stopped using whataboutery and ifs and buts and other condescending remarks in your replies.
You must think the incident was racist otherwise you would not have posted the link on this thread.
If you don't then don't stoke tensions. Something you accuse the OP of doing

I'm just pointing out that 'well if it was ...' or 'what if...' etc are of little to no use. Or worse, that you're trying to excuse it.
What if Harry kane hadn't been a total donkey in the euros? Ah but iif we'd scored more goals than Spain then you'd be saying England were great. ... see? Pointless.
And as said, I'm saying that you can't ignore the race context because it makes the incident far more incendiary. Especially in the current climate where trust in the police on issues like this is already as low as it's ever been.
Think about how people here are so readily confident that a white copper kicking a restrained, face down on the ground, brown man isn't racist. Why is that? Because it certainly feckin looks like it.
'He'd have done it if the guy was white' - would he? How are you so bloody sure about that but not prepared to accept that what he did could be related to his own nasty prejudice?
Come on man. You're not as stupid as that and usually prepared to debate with a bit of objectivity

If Harry Kane got his scoring boots on we may have gone out earlier as our wingbacks would have left us more stretched to a counter
To counter didn't the four Asian men first assault the four white coppers ?
I don't still see any racist element here...

Greater Manchester Police (GMP) said firearms officers had been attacked while attempting to arrest someone following a fight in the airport's Terminal 2 on Tuesday. It said it had referred itself to the police watchdog.
Seen the video, he willl be suspended and lose his job
Tells you where we are with society though when people think it is ok to attack police, armed ones too WTF, would have been better off just shooting the ****, black white, whatever race. Plus the mongs we're having a tear up in an airport, kids about etc. What he did was out of order but if somebody had slotted me one and the red mist was down they would get some back, same for most folks, it's human nature, I am sure he will regret his actions now.
I for one am pleased that we have such officers protecting us. When you deal with ****s like that you should be able to deal with them in their way, **** em.

I've seen more info than is in the public domain around the airport incident.
Safe to say two things - the copper will get the book thrown at him. The parties who were arrested will in all probability end up doing a custodial sentence for what happened immediately before the video was recorded.
The clip that was released was one version of the events... CCTV (the airport is covered in it) and the police body cams will show a more balanced view

Mal you can't say it was racist anymore than people can say it wasn't. The only person who knows for sure is the copper himself. People who are racist, know they are racist

Everyone knows that the Police Force is institutionally racist; there are numerous expert reports that conclude this beyond any doubt. That's all anyone need know when trying to determine if the behaviour of a member of said institution is racially motivated.
Anyone know what happened to the bloke that assaulted the older Asian lady in the video?
Apparently she was knocked into with a trolly and assaulted, and the entire incident escalated from there.

Both statements factually incorrect.
I personally know a white female police officer married to a Asian male - which undermines what you have said and you take a blanket approach and paint all with the same brush.
And there was no report of a assault to a older Asian lady initially

That's a fair point
I've said that the context - the two men in the video plus the wider context of the reports into the institutional racism in our police forces - makes it look so.
That doesn't mean every individual officer. Of course it doesn't.
However, taking into account those factors you'd have to admit it looks more likely than the absolute denial of any possible prejudice. And pretty naive to state as an absolute that there's no racial bias there.
After Stephen Lawrence, Rodney King, Ricardo Dos Santos, Sonya Massey, Nicole Smallman and Bibaa Henry (to name just a few), the image of the police is really tarnished in relation to race. This assault cannot be seen in a vacuum and 'it would've happened even if he was white' is absolutely no defence.
The man's family have spoken out to try and diffuse the anger about it. The force have reported it to the IOPC. Let's hope it gets resolved.

It's not - the force is institutionally racist. Proven. With the exception of the Officer you know. Are you vouching for every other Officer too, including those you don't know personally?
Seems a bit misguided to me. A couple of years ago you would have had Wayne Couzens back.

Where has it been proven and why are we not seeing proceedings against force members in there droves ?
Yes there is the odd study by x y and z that's it.
I know a few coppers and I'm sure a few post on here..
After the grooming in Rotherham many years ago it said in the report that was done the police and authorities didn't act because they were in fear of being labelled racist.
