Both don't need to. They cater for anglers of a certain age who like what they like. The same goes with many tackle companies who have a loyal fanbase that won't be swayed by the next big thing....

He hasn't been at Dynamite for some time. He went to Sticky ages ago

Is he leaving because he wants to? Or has his hand been forced? Wouldn't surprise if Nash with the closure of the bait side of things were cutting back on there sponsored anglers. He's probably got all the tackle he will ever need. But you do need bait. And with the amount he probably uses. He'll need a sponsor sharpish.. But good luck to him and the Mrs. He does put out some cracking content.

Yes I'm aware, it was more a comment about the type of film Samir makes, I think it might suit Dynamite

The guy is a top class film maker. I've no idea what the likes of Nash pay him, but if it's only free bait, I don't see why he would need to sell his soul for a couple hundred quid of bait. Sack of Tigers would cover most of his fishing I've watched. Realistically he could be dealing with Netflix, or high end production houses, not pissing about with bait and tackle brands.

Your right, that's probably all he needs to be fair. And where he's living in Spain he could probably dig or grow his own..

That's exactly why they need to, especially Nutrabaits, at least Mainline have a fingers in the match scene

I think the difference is, there's plenty of blokes who've been using Mainline/Nutrabaits and if I may, I'll add Essential Baits, since the 90's. I highly doubt there's kids today who will be using Munch baits in 20 years time.
I have those days burned into my memories. The bait, the adverts, the waters the baits were used on, the anglers using the bait, and the fish caught on them.
Without trying to sound harsh, no-one has an absolute scooby do what Munch/Monster etc contributed to the aura of carp fishing five years ago because theres a generation now who have the attention span of a blue bottle.
Longevity in sales comes with quality, and that is evident in the companies that need to sell themselves, and those that don't.

This whole concept that Anglers in the limelight must be tied to a bait company must be out dated by now. Being an angler that does this style of fishing, and not being able to use whatever is easiest and avaliable local must be a bit of a handbrake on your fishing at times. I would love to see more anglers break away from the tackle and bait industry, and do their own fishing, efficiently and using the gear they want. If done well, I'd imagine financially they could earn a lot more by doing partnerships with companies outside this industry.

I agree, and that's kind of my point, its a older generation using the baits and that customer won't be around forever. I also think there are a lot more modern bait companies making equally good baits, but they have the social presence to appeal to the younger generation and to ensure longevity.
If you go back to the 90's early 0's there were very few big companies about and those companies, to me, should be at the top off the tree now. Nutrabaits is a shadow of of its former self, Solar and Nash are gone, the modern contenders like DNA etc are thriving. The bait world is a bitchy one, and it was worse back then than it is now if you ask me, but I can't comment from a social media pov as it doesn't interest me.
Samir has the power to be sponsored yet use alternatives depending on situation, like the pellets in his last vid. That honesty is part of his appeal to me. I also think he's one of the few who can appeal to old and young alike, it seems to be one or the other nowadays, unless your the likes of Terry Hearn.

Samir is going to Fox. Not sure what he's doing about bait.
