I had to look for a few days because of the ‘curing' comments. I don't normally see any of it. What totally shocked me was the comments on all the bait posts. Real nasty comments. Not one, on some posts every single comment is taking the piss. I was so shocked, never seen nothing like it before. Yes there was the arse kissers saying what you mentioned. But they are out numbered so much by negative comments.

Maybe not the boilies. It's the pellets he's "curing" now haha. Just watched the video for a laugh and the dedicated pellet range are actually halibut pellets " cured " with his own special gravy and nutty sauce 😂. 10.48 and 11.34 minutes in if you don't wanna watch all the rest of his spiel !

I'm afraid that the magic twig fiasco has caused a lot of damage to his personal brand. Personally, I'm fairly chilled about such things which in reality are trivial. nonetheless, the damage has been done. He was always quite a divisive character, even prior to that, but at least he was a character and still is!
He deserves a level of respect in all honesty for bringing out such a comprehensive range of fishing tackle within such a short period. The fishing tackle market is absolutely on its knees at the moment. If you look at companies house accounts, even the biggest of the big players are reeling from the effects of the post-Covid world that we are in. Fishing suddenly became madly popular, manufacturers over ordered, and by the time the stock arrived from China, the bubble had already burst.
I don't use any of his products in all honesty, but I'm not daft enough to hold a personal opinion from letting me use good tackle and I suspect a lot of what he sells is actually pretty good stuff. I certainly won't be using his bait, however, or that bloody twig!

I'm sure he won't be losing any sleep over the opinions of a few on a forum that's seen better days. You also forget what this guy does with children's charities. He donates a lot to many good causes. Sounds like sour grapes a lot of this.

I was personally shocked he has gone down the bait route, after the amount of years he stayed with mainline and his beloved goo, I can understand why there are mummering's in the industry that he overstepped his mark now.

I could say quite a bit about his videos...but I wont....suffice to say I don't own and will never use a single piece of OMC gear, I would rather go without.

Respect for Ali doing this BUT its all tax deductible and I'm sure many others do this they just don't shout about it.

Trouble for me is that he has just sprayed and preyed with regards products. All the decent brands started small with a collection of tackle they had heritage in and then expanded once the brand had a good name. Ali seems to believe that his Korda days got him star status and he could flood the market with a name tagged to 90% crap. I assume it's because his backers wanted a return and to see huge growth.
