What Knots do you guys use with flouro? (to the Swivel)

Been using the same 16lb TIger Line since April but have had 4 snap offs so not majorly impressed. These were clean snaps as well and not just at the swivel.

I had a similar issue with tigerline.
I bought the 16lb straim from angling direct & was snapping off when I knew I shouldn't be. I had a bit left over on the spool it came on, so I tied 7 3 meter lengths with loops & pulled them slowly with a digital scale.
All of them broke at around 10lb's. Most of them not even near the knot. I got a refund

I bought some daiwa floorit super soft to replace the tigerline. Off the bat it's much more springy than the tiger line, but it is in a thicker breaking strain.
I'm hoping that will change given use & time to break in.

I use 0.40 (20lb) PB Hybron on Daiwa Whisker 25QDs and 10' rods with 5-6oz leads . . . .admittedly I'm mainly using a boat however it does cast well when I've attached a 3oz lead and cast to showing fish and certainly a lot better than the 0.35 15lb Kontour I was using previously . . .

I've got some Hybron on the spare spools, it's nice stuff for a mono and sinks better than any other mono I've used. I like the next to no stretch properties of fluro that the hybron isn't as good as, but if casting any distance or silly accuracy is required like dinner plate sized holes in weed, then I'll happily switch to the hybron.

Good synopsis - the more 'direct' feeling of Fluro is its only advantage IMO . . still think Hybron has way less stretch than standard monos; what differentiates it from fluro is that it sinks just as well (if not better as its more supple) / casts a lot better / is way more manageable. . .

I always use the palomar knot with fluorocarbon that's on tiger line which l used for years with no problems but that's when it sold under big carp tiger line name not used it now it's under the Gardner name so as it changed, always found Gardner lines good in general but who knows but think l'll try the thinking FTX now after reading some of the replies

Had mine spooled since March on 3x reels and a fished 48hrs pretty much every week since then to date - water is relatively snag free but at 0.40 line is still in good shape (have periodically stripped small sections for dinks / burrs / abrasion over that time period) . . .

I gave the 8m test a try as I still have a bit left over & it broke sub 10lb.
Only ran a single test to preserve what I have left. I'd like to try the 25m test once or twice for science, but it's an issue of finding the time & space
