I did - in my post 46 you'll see that I mentioned the Wychwood one that you had linked to, and I suggested that I don't think it has even half of the functionality of the OMC one? And it looks pants too.
Didn't know anything about the Avid one - had a look, it's some individual tools in a case, whereas the OMC one is an all in one jobbie.

Not sure about half the functionality as you put it
its a collection of baiting tools that they both have and the truth is they both would mostly be capable of doing exactly the same things
why would you want to hold all six in your hand when you are only using one of them ?
but to be honest of the 3 types I prefer the look of the Avid ones that have the same collection of 6 tools but instead of being attached you can remove them from the very compact holder
I will stick to my Original Solar baiting needle well over 30 years old

The new solar one looks nice, I just wish the needles weren't the plastic ended one, I prefer a plain needle held in with a grub screw.

How much are those Solar needles selling for on eBay Gerry, make the OMC tool look cheap
And Solar are bringing out a new model aren't they?
As for the ‘cool tool', 5 baiting/splicing needles and. 2 pullers is hardly 10 different tools. Now if he included a nice hook file, scissors and maybe a braid stripper in the box so you could customise it to your own preference then he might be onto something. It's always a bit more awkward doing things with a multitool though.

It's a completely pointless tool, why pick up that when you only need a single item which is far easier to handle? Multi tools may be OK on a bike but in my opinion these guys are scratching around for ideas of stuff they might be able to sell to anglers that can't think for themselves..

I cant stand the guy and dont think I will ever buy any of "his" products... This tool is total nonsense to me (would only look at it if it would float) but it is a great marketing and business decision especially with Christmas coming where people buy even more stupid things... you are forgetting carp anglers act as if they would all have IQ of 54 when it comes to buying products otherwise half of stuff on shops shelfs wouldnt be there... every single aspect of carp angling is exploited to the limits and beyond... 1000p bivies, 200p chairs, 50p pots of pop ups, 500p for half empty bottle of "original" flavour... The more I think about I think this tool is actually to cheap, 99,90 would be better price...
