I am of the belief that if you buy quality you buy it once
Agree with you there .... But buying expensive doesnt always garuantee quality though and buying cheaper doesnt always mean "sub standard" so i stand by the fact that the phrase "Buy cheap buy twice" is a myth

The amount of Nash tackle that used to arrive broken at the tackle shop!
Boxes were all marked as deliver to Felixstowe Dock, then straight from the Dock to the shop.
Rods, alarms, reels, bedchairs all damaged, and stuff that wasn't was regularly returned by customers.
Personally I have only ever had 2 items of Nash gear that were any good, an Hurricane Outlaw bivvy and an Outlaw Landing net.
I have had 3 or 4 Nash rucksacks that all died before 'time', along with rod holdalls.
Broken zips, broken ties, that rather than return it was easier to repair myself, although the rucksack that split across the shoulder stitching within a few weeks was returned for replacement. It took months to replace!

I genuinely don't see the issue with Nash gear, or perhaps I've just been extremely lucky in the gear I've purchased. I've got the hide xl, which is easy to put up, sold with the wrap and I like the flexibility the add ons give you, from basically being a day shelter to full on bivvy.
Nash BP10 reels have been decent, always played fish well, OK my PB is only 37lb, low to some on here but played it well.
The only issue with Nash gear I've had is the KNX Rods, I do like them but have had the tip snap twice on me, although that could be through my own clumsiness

Hey,hey....'only 37lb '...thats a very decent sum of flesh,you can't equate weight to skill ,...don't put your self in the ranks of weightism..or down ever ,regarding fish weights..
Just saying..
I've got a Nash 2+1 sleeve system, it's good, suits me,other nash stuff I've had poorly made ,as others say..
Only buy what you need,not to impress or gain fake bankside kudos..

Sorry buddy, I'm over the moon with my pb at 37lb. However me saying I haven't had problems with Nash tackle is usually followed by some comment regarding huge fish etc, so I thought I'd get in there first 😂😂
Completely agree with buying what you need. I've still got my old huge Angling Intelligence unhooking mat as it still served its purpose very well, along with luggage etc I've had for a good few years. Like I say, the Nash gear I do have in general has served me well, however I do see an awful lot of people that seem to have issues with it.

I suppose it's down to how you view it, and again the fact I've been 'lucky' maybe. The equipment I have has lasted a good while and served me well, yeah it's not the cheapest but if it keeps for a long time then it's worth spending the money on.
I appreciate others may have had issues and they may view other companies as better, but so far I haven't really had any issues with any of their tackle, and I tend to try and get out most weeks throughout winter too so it's all certainly been tested 😂😂

There was a lot of it, rods, reels, luggage etc.

You would know better than anyone as you worked in the trade you can catch a fish on a £20 rod that's not the point it is advertised as good quality and is priced as such and it's not put speero or thinking anglers up
against it and the difference will be clear and in a lot of cases nash will be lot more expensive eg £99.99 for a hoodie

I go out of my way now to buy british or EU made products. I'd rather buy a 15 year old British net than a brand new Chinese one, because I know full well the Chinese one would die long before the British one needs a replacement mesh.
