We have excellent R&D in the uk though the west as a whole over decades has outsourced to Asia, Eastern Europe and other developing continents and they have been able to invest and improve on such processes meaning it will not change - look where Apple make their products...

Inflation has had no impact on my standard of living and hasn't for many other people.
I appreciate it has for others but don't be fooled into thinking the whole country is on its knee's.

Imported cheese, I've been eating it for years if you want a good Brie it has to be French doesn't it. You can't beat a good Long Clawson Stilton mind you, my favourite, Aldi have it in the jars right now ready for Christmas give it a try.

That would be the “prison camp” called Foxcon
Thankfully due to U.K. law and legislation we are in a much better place from a humanity perspective
Business in this country and the country as a whole is ****ed, increasing costs all take the toll on the bottom line and when we are paying people a minimum wage, rightly so we have not got a cat in hells chance of competing with countries that let their people get exploited and pay them £1 hour. most of the profit margins are on labour, cost competitiveness, couple this with protecting our people against strict legislation, like a bloke once said to me, health and safety will shut this country down (£) UK business and European have not got a chance, what is the first thing they will do, cost saving incentives. No wonder pay rises are under such scrutiny in a lot of businesses, it could be make or break!
Better off been a civil servant and jumping on the annual strike bandwagon demanding a pay rise every year, the odds are more in your favour

That great inventor James Dyson moved all his manufacturing to Malaysia...
Nearly 70% of the world semiconductors are made in Asia.
Very few volume products (be it consumer / industrial) are made in the uk
Have you ever actually visited mainland China it makes the UK look like the stone age
Over the 25 years I've been going there it's changed dramatically.and will continue to do benefit.
I'm not saying it's right or wrong but everything costs.

Imagine they instead take your advice to move on to another job. There's already a huge recruitment problem. Doctors and nurses leaving. Broken promises and missed staffing targets from government. So it eventually falls apart. The answer?

The spokesperson could not give any concrete details on how Labour might handle the negotiations differently, however. They refused to call on the government to provide more money to departments, and would not say if the party would introduce any new legislation should they win the next election.
Labour opposes some proposed new rules, which would force public transport workers to provide set minimum levels of service. But Starmer's spokesperson would not commit to repealing them if elected.
The above is from yesterday's Guardian, even the Lefty Labour Party are unwilling to support the strikes, creosote Keith is a true Blue👍
