Climbing the correct tree at the correct part of the lake to find fish still requires some skill and watercraft.
Sending a drone up so that you can see the whole lake and it's inhabitants on a screen does not.
Marker floats etc can't be compared to bait boats and drones any more than a bite alarm.

Just another tool, that's all they are. Can't see what the problem is here. No different to a fish finder that I use when afloat.
The only issue with drones comes down to the person flying them, that's why they get banned. No different to idiots using bait boats or lobbing their deeper into people's swims or even taking their dogs that sh1t all over the place.

A lot of people like myself like to go fishing and enjoy nature and the surroundings. I don't want to be watching drones buzzing around everywhere and bait boats with flashing lights going into my swim.

by proper fisherman !!! you know the ones fast asleep in their bivvy being woken up by a fish thats hooked itself !!! they then drag themselves out of bed to reel it in proper skill eh
nothing changes in Carp fishing in the 60s I had someone raging at me as I was using a Heron bite alarm he was shouting thats cheating using an electric bite alarm thats not skill ??
then a few years later we were using hempseed and got accused of turning the fish into drug addicts as it was cheating !
it was EVEN BANNED for a while

Baitboats, Deepers and Drones are all banned or due to be on the waters I fish, I'm actually telling any prospective new members and present members this at present -
“Baitboats, Deepers and Drones are now Banned – it's a level playing field, nobody has any unfair advantages over anybody else anymore, you have got to rely on your own Skills ONLY, no fish stocks are now being put at risk, no deadbaits are being boated out to moronic places, nobody is sailing a damned deeper on the back of a baitboat all around the bloody lake looking for the big Cats, if you don't like it go else were”
This was planned last year, as I witnessed some of the worst, selfish angling practices I've ever seen - and all have involved baitboats. I've heard it all before “I only use it to bait up; I never take rigs out into/near snags” Liar! As soon as they think nobody is watching them out it goes – fish at all cost head takes over.

Well said mate, if people want to use baitboats, rowing boats,fishfinders, drones what ever etc i really don't see what the problem is if they are used sensibly.
Everyone one has their own style of fishing at the end of the day.
