That's a bit harsh Ken!
I'm a big Tolkien fan and the trilogy is what introduced me to that universe. Watch the behind the scenes stuff, so much love and attention went in to those movies.
The Hobbit trilogy on the other hand....

programme is ok, borderline boring yet thats part of its charm. Its completely inoffensive which in the this era is perfect for all those snowflakes out there. Ill finish the series 100%, locations are great and I really like Paul Whitehouse.

My lady went through a spell where she would have vivid dreams about hobbits and dragons and orcs and be mumbling away about them for hours...
Nothing serious. She was just Tolkien in her sleep. ..

The whole show was a pleasure to watch...simply calming and charming.
Those Tench were fantastic.

I really like the show and especially the focus on enjoyment with the fishing.
I will defo continue watching but...

Well of course not everyone has the same sense of humour
if its not for you fine dont watch it
but for me its one of the best programs I have ever seen on TV superb settings showing the true beauty of our countryside and a couple of blokes having a right laugh the camaraderie between them is evident and they kinda catch the excitement of fishing too and they to me are very funny cant wait
AND AWAY !!!!
I did watch it, but as said I struggle with Bob Mortimer being such a twonk. I'm not sure whether he 'plays' for the camera or really is such a fishing idiot😖
At least fishing is represented on mainstream television again in a good light.
