This local travel is what's stopping me...
So some background, I work on the ambulances, I have to travel 40mins to my station, its also where my club lakes are located. So Its OK for me to travel into work (to deal with covid and potentially put my life at risk) but on my days off I ain't allowed to do that same journey to do that one think that helps me clear my mind.
The mind boggles over it all. We're all running on empty and most of us are struggling.
I would love to do nights, but would settle on days but I cannot even do that as I'm meant to find somewhere to fish in a city.

Totally sympathize with your circumstances, my syndicate is off limits as a similar journey time, though I at least have the local rivers.
Yep we are all struggling and fishing brings so much joy to us all.
Fingers crossed 🤞 we get to enjoy our fishing in it's entirety.

I hope so, I never realised just how much being on the bank keeps me same.
12 months I have worked my ass off, and when I could fish I couldn't get a peg as everyone was off work fishing... Then to run salt in the wound we're put on a pay freeze (again)

The issue for most is not when night fishing will be allowed, it will be when "stay local" is dropped.
Can't see that being dropped before 8th March, but will it go as late as 29th March? Hope not personally.

I'm doing the occasional day session for pike more than anything else. No big fish but still catching a few, and eyeing up the lake for any moving carp.
I'd prefer to fish an overnight session, simply due to travelling. I'm not good at getting up at 3am, doing an agency shift until 8 then back via a days fishing at the lake. I find driving home in the dark uncomfortable, led headlights are blinding and give me headaches.
I think that overnight fishing will be allowed from April, but would like to be proved wrong with an earlier date.
