who's slagging him off? They were £2.49 last week and when they return they will be £3.50 which is too much imo so I won't be buying any more. It's his prerogative to raise the price and mine not to buy them. Simples.

They already came in glass bottles. look, I'm happy that I got the two I wanted and I wish JB all the very best. He's a stand-up guy and his products are excellent. There's just a limit to what I'll pay for a flavour, which to me are like the icing on a cake. The cake is the more important bit.

Possibly there is a more pressing need for small glass bottles holding a few ml of liquid at the moment!

Just multiplying the up the volume to get a comparative price per litre misses out on the other costs involved, not least of which will be the time spent getting the small quantity into the small bottle and labeling it, as well as the botte itself. I'm guessing that John does this by hand and it will be time consuming so there is the majority of your cost. If the flavour comes from the supplier in 5 litre containers, and you sell it in 100ml bottles, then that's 50 bottles to fill. If your flogging it in 10ml bottles, that's 500 bottles to fill. And just because its 10 times smaller doesn't mean you fill it 10 times quicker either. There is an extra cost there, and hence the cost per ml, or litre, is that much greater.

There is more that contributes to the cost of a product than simply the cost of raw materials. Rolling 10mm baits in any volume is a lot more time consuming and labour intensive. Probably a bit like selling 8ml flavours over 100ml bottles..
In his latest video John said he run out of 8ml bottles and had had to source some new ones. I would guess the price increase is linked to that.
Matt is right I've met john a few times he's a member of a lake I fish and he's a top man that makes bait for the love of it his day job pays the bills! He has no inclination in selling bait to anglers thst use 100kgs per year its aimed at bait enthusiasts who may not use as much bait and don't mind paying for quality

Ill still buy a few as I only roll hook baits so will get a few mixes out of the smaller bottles still.
I cant see why people are complaining. The more choice you have the better for the consumer I would say.
I have watched his recent video's and have also listened to a podcast he did and he really seems a nice genuine bloke and its great that he is starting to share that knowledge on social media. Especially when he has such a brilliant passion for what he does.

Well said. I've used his flavours for years.
If you don't agree... don't buy. Very simple really.

I have used it for several seasons now after Matt made me some pops flavoured with JB Plum. It was almost a case of 'don't put the rod down'. Worked on every venue I took it to. Yes, it's expensive but at 1ml/kilo in freebies or half a ml per egg for custom hookbaits its very effective. Thanks, Matt!

Am i noseblind
I made afew different hookbaits/popups with JBs Plum, Caramell Banana and Pineapple Ester, using the recommended dosages for 1 egg mixes, using max 0.3ml. After drying, can´t smell anything
Not covid related, btw
Anyone else become noseblind, due to sniffing too much concentrated bait flavour, over time ???

I use JB Plum at 3ml in one of my popup mix's!
Another one I use it at 1ml alongside 4ml of another flavour and you still get the plum coming through.
0.3ml might be a little low in order to smell anything.
Doesn't mean it won't work of course.
