I been a GT HD user for many years and had no real reason to change. But got bedazzled by Damian Clarke's passionate review on a recent podcast, so I thought I'd give it a whirl as I needed to re spool anyway.
Have to say - I am impressed with it.
It does knot down really well and also sinks relatively well. It seems durable enough also. Has handled itself well with fish getting weeded up with hardly any coil up afterwards. IMO, HD is a slight better caster when fishing over 90+ yards, but not a lot in it. Overall I am happy with it and can recommend if someone is looking for a new line. Will continue to be using it for the foreseeable. Well done Korda!

Its superb,im on a really weedy lake with big beds of lillies.I had a carp take me through loads of weed and two sets of lillies.Fish was landed safely and the line was fine,I checked it all after and could not see or feel one bit of damage.Im seriously impressed with it so far,been out three times now and seems to be getting better as bedded in,im on the 0.38mm

Interested in this as well as I've been a long term user of Synchro but this season having far more issues with it than before so seriously considering a switch for next season

I'm a big fan of Syncro XT and haven't had the issues that others have had with it. But decided to respool the 0.40 Syncro with the Kaizen 0.38 as I need a bit more distance.

Something changed with the syncro xt,the kaizen is far better imo.It casts better,abrasion resistance is superb and can feel the lead down easier.Unless something changes after a few trips I will be staying on the kaizen,I had a few fish on it and so far it is still straight and limp with no coiling

I'll definitely give it a go for next season. I agree with you, the Synchro XT i spooled with this season is not behaving anywhere near as well as it has historically and I've been a huge fan and advocate of it for years! Something must have changed in the production as I've seen plenty of you mentioning it on here, but I was sceptical until I experienced it myself

To humans, obviously no idea how a carp sees these things, it may not make much difference, but confidence is key and I think it does make a difference, in certain situations.

Im on the green and the lake im on is proper weedy,ive caught a few fish since been on it so must be ok.
