I just think having more women involved with fishing generally will be a good thing in the long-term. As long as that doesn't include my Mrs.
I'm thinking that a pass time that a wide cross section of the population taking part in might be a harder target for the antis.

Nothing wrong with more women going fishing.
What seems a little dodgy is companies suddenly having female "consultants" doing videos, even if its mainly their boyfriend who is doing the graft.
It seems like a blatant attempt to attract the wider male pre-pubescent audience
And some older pervs too

Thanks for the reply.
I have a different opinion, which is I'd like the popularity of angling to decline and with it those people that have been attracted by gadgets and social media, and If that means a decline in tackle development then that's fine by mean.

All for a few more ladies in Angling. But not to many, aye. Like a lot of you no doubt. I have a house full of three girls. And spending a bit of time on my own or with a bit of male company is my escape. So not on my waters, please..

I suppose if I fished open access/club waters I would feel the same mate.
Like you I couldn't get two hoots about tackle developments, the tackle is not where I get my enjoyment from.
I've got a ticket now where most members use a baitboat, usually with all the added gadgets and I'm not a fan. My name is down for another water where you can't use baitboats or drones and can only use the proper boats for the netting of fish. Fingers crossed for that one.
