It's his job at the end of the day. Each video needs to be a bit more "extreem" and more of an adventure than the last. He really could have just done it in a car, but it wouldn't look anywhere near as exciting.
I know your not 'having it' and I agree re the car but he did actually say why he was doing it and I say full credit to him. He's injected some excitement into what he was finding to be 'just his job' but more than that, on a personal level he wants to keep himself entertained so his love of fishing doesn't get stale...quite refreshing to be honest.
He managed to combine rekindling his love of bikes with refreshing his love of fishing and he took us along, what's not to like, hats off to him
and the only cost to you... a bit of your time and some electricity.

Was he travelling alone ? Some of those drone shots of him on his bike, how does that work ? I haven't watched it all so there might be an answer that I'm not aware of.

Oh yeah I agree. I'm just countering the peolle in this thread that seem to think he HAD to do it on the bike. He chose the bike because its different, and makes interesting viewing. He absolutely could have fished 10x more effectively using a different mode of transport.

Modern drones have GPS and 'follow' modes. Those shots of him driving away will likely be the drone on the floor, that then follows him keeping him in center of shot. It's all proper clever stuff these days.

Just started part 2, Pt 1 was tremendous, really authentic I thought. If you listen to the nash podcast, his back story about the bike element is quite interesting, he was also a bike mechanic.
Most Nash films I cannot watch, but these are up there as good as anything I have watched.
EDIT: I've sent an email to Nash BTW, to get them to sort out the way he holds his rod.

IMO he hold the rod in that way just to have the tip as high as possible out off dangerous underwater snags close to the bank. I did it when I'm in that situation as well (not that I fish with 6ft rods, obviously ) when there's something dangerous under the rod tip it's natural to lift the rod as high as possible.
That rods seems to me more than a toy that a fishing rod I saw it struggle in a lot of situations during the film. In that adventure they did their job for what they are designed.
The film is very enjoyable, as almost all he have done, the footage are well edited and the quality is high and full of drama as in his style.

I really enjoyed these, I think his editing has come on a lot, at first it was more just vlog style, now much more than that. His talking to camera bits are better too, less repetitive and clearer language.
In particular in these film I thought the soundtrack was excellent and really matched the vibe of the films.
Also the drone shots (often coinciding with the good music) obviously actually suit the theme well with the biking parts but also the asthetic of the scenery, with it being a river you get that view of a linear element going off into the distance with the bike follwing it. Better than just token overhead lake shots.
