The sound from a bite alarm on a stick/pod on the bank won't penetrate the water to cause a disturbance, I've sat at the wates edge loads of time listening to the radio watching fish in front of me and they only spok if I move too quickly.

And someone at the car park at one end shuts their car door or boot loudly, a ripple of fish, silvers, carp etc swirling starts at the car park end and like a mexican wave passes down the pond with fish swirling as the sound wave passes down the pond through the water"
I think the two are very loosely linked, but what you mentioned (I believe) is for different reasons.
Predation from airborne threats is the one of the main threats to all fish from an early age.
If a fish is under the surface they can feel vulnerable, even when competitively feeding on pedigree chum. Hence why you'll see Geese/Ducks flying over and see the same swirls from fish who have a natural reaction from birth to avoid predation, even when feeding. Many animals on this planet are wary of feeding as their field of vision is obscured, so any sudden shock down the lateral line will invoke a response.
Nothing to do with the warble from a rain soaked Delkim in my opinion

Atts with snag backs and V2 deluxe receiver very reliable never had a problem with mine over the past year
I have changed the rollers to Kudos 4 mag in frosted clear but that was my personal choice
The frosted rollers seem to hold the light colour for longer
I had tlb+ before which were also a good alarm

user error ?
I was fishing slack lines and OBVIOUSLY always CHECK then double check before getting in the sack
just because you haven't experienced it you utter ****
it can never happen on a Delkim thankfully a superior alarm
roller alarms always have problems in severe winter conditions with them freezing to

I now use exactly the same set up on my carp set up and barbel set up. Simple, reliable, quiet and minimalist.

Fish hear (low frequency) and see completely different to us and what they regard as a threat danger is dependent on so many factors.
Vibrations and shadows cast are what normally generate a reaction from fish but it really is difficult to quantify
