I think if anything with battery technology, integration etc I'd actually like something a lot smaller (half the size of a fox, delkim etc) but feature rich - as long as you can attach snag ears, its always a pain when having to pack everything away and buzz bars with alarms take a lot of space.

The original Fox that had vibration sensing and the Wolf use both a magnet and piezo vibration sensor and to be fair was a clever way around the Delkim thing. Although apparently the Wolf has a fully enclosed wheel housing whereas the Foxes werent quite so.
Re new alarm to be fair I think the Ace i3 pretty much nailed it first off and its unbelievable Shimano group didnt re-release it.
as mentioned though definately no bleepy function buttons ! god they're annoying

Using atts since they came out has made me struggle
To accept the look and size of most alarms
To me. Delkims look like a brittle laptop
New fox ones look like Batman's car etc.
Of couse it shouldnt matter and in reality it doesn't as I just like
Simplicity of them not the look. But they do make everything else look jarring.

Do something completely radical. Do away with the head altogether and have a digital monkey climber with a motion sensor in it. So in effect the alarm and the bobbin are the same thing. In fact the bar that the monkey climber runs up could have magnets every 5mm. Then as the bobbin/alarm rises it could sense them like a roller wheel.
A compact good looking version with all the features of the wolf iq would be great. Its probably the hardest market of all to crack.

I get volume, tone and sensitivity but I had all these with my original delkim conversations about 40 years ago, the remote is a real game changer but anything else to me is faff.
I don't need to change colour led
I don't need to have a mute, as I have all heads on mute and turn down receiver
I don't want to, nor would I trust changing settings from bivvy - I am only 4 yards from the heads.
Do I want a nightlight function- not really, even less so one that has multiple settings.
Do I want a computer display screen, absolutely not, I want individual things that go wrong and can be repaired as opposed to some wizardry that requires perfect eye sight.
The old Andy Little roller buzzers - with a remote is all I have ever wished for.

Too big and a lot of people will be put off buying.
Too complicated and that will put people off (I have TXI-D's which have been perfect for me, but in this day of instant everything a lot of people can't be bothered spending an hour learning to use them properly).
So for me, to maximise potential sales you need a compact head size, volume/tone/sensitivity dials, drop back differentiation (never bothered me but it's a bonus and a lot of people like it), and ability to switch between roller and vibration sensing. Being able to change LED colour would win a few more people over too.
Waterproof obviously. Quality receiver that just works. Double stainless locking screws or some kind of quick lock system.
Separate snag ears, otherwise the heads can get bulky when putting away, especially when attached to buzz bars.
Matching accessories would be a bonus and could potentially be sold as a complete kit (alarms, receiver, bobbins etc, though the option to buy everything separately has to remain).
And the last one, price. If they're the same price (or more) as top of the line Delks and Fox, realistically how many sales are you going to take off them? It's an incredibly difficult market to break into.
